Continental Airlines offers inexpensive weekend flights every weekend where you must book the flight earlier that week (see their specials on www.continental.com)  I had three free days and the airline had a cheap flight to Moncton from Newark, so off I went. 

I stayed at a lovely B&B on the Bay of Fundy which was owned by a ceramicist.  Her studio/store was above my room and she shared her family's dinner with me one evening.  She is a fascinating woman (www.artisansuite.com).
